<p>Narvar is growing! We are looking for Full stack Software Engineers that enjoy working on both APIs and UIs. In this role, you will build products that power the post-purchase experience for the biggest brands in the retail industry. As a Fullmstack Software Engineer, you will have a direct impact on our customer-facing products and work with modern technologies like Typescript, React, Go, Java, and GraphQL to ship complex features that drive millions of views.</p> <p>You'll join the team behind Narvar Secure and Narvar Assist — our package-protection and claims products. Secure lets shoppers opt in to shipping protection at checkout and file loss, theft, or damage claims through a branded, self-service portal. Assist uses AI and machine learning to enhance delivery-claim decisions and detect fraud in real time, resolving issues for shoppers while protecting our retailers from abuse. You'll own live, consumer-facing claim experiences end to end — from storefront integrations (Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) and embeddable widgets, through a shared, claim-decisioning platform.</p> <p>For this role, you should be located in Canada and able to work within EST/EDT OR PST hours. We are fully remote.</p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Day-to-day<br></strong></span></p> <p>Frontend Development (Primary Focus)</p> <ul> <li>Implement new product features & support/ extend existing ones</li> <li>Build frontend platform components leveraged across our internal, external products and ecommerce storefronts like Shopify, Salesforce etc</li> <li>Work with product and design teams toTranslate product and design work (Figma) into robust, accessible, high-performance UI components </li> <li>Own frontend architecture decisions and uphold code-quality standards alongside other senior engineers, and mentor teammates through code review</li> </ul> <p>Backend Development (Secondary Focus)</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to development and maintenance of backend services using primarily Golang, Node.js</li> <li>Understanding of google cloud platform (GCP), CI/CD and be able to deploy code and infrastructure components</li> <li>Work with datastores like PostgreSQL, Cloud Spanner, BigQuery, and Bigtable</li> <li>Understand and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li>You have 6+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, and high-quality systems</li> <li>AI-first development — you treat AI (e.g., Claude) as your primary engineering surface, orchestrating, reviewing, and shipping through it rather than hand-writing code. You're genuinely curious about your own AI workflow — continually experimenting, refining, and staying on the leading edge of what these tools can do — and you help the team do the same by sharing what works.</li> <li>Experience in building consumer facing applications with a frontend framework(s), such as React (preferable), Svelte Angular, Vue or Ember</li> <li>Experience building well-designed software with NodeJS or Golang</li> <li>Experience developing consumer facing applications consuming various APIs from a microservice backend system</li> <li>Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.</li> <li>Knowledge of full development life cycle and computer science fundamentals</li> <li>Strong focus on code quality and code reviews</li> <li>Experience with mentoring other engineers</li> <li>Previous startup experience strongly preferred with growth and product engineering mindset</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Why Narvar?</strong></span></h2> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><em>We're on a mission to simplify the everyday lives of consumers.
