Questions

Fair questions, honest answers

Everything here is also stated where it matters, on the page it belongs to. This is the one place it all sits together.

The letter, the board, the scan

Is the daily letter really free?

Yes. One letter every morning with your closest unseen match and the real count of what else is in your pool, forever, no forced payment. It never repeats a job you have already been sent. The paid plans exist for people who want more of that pool every morning, and they fund the nightly scan.

What does "locked" mean?

A requirement in the listing that limits who can take the job: a country or region, a timezone overlap, or a language. We parse those clauses out of the fine print and label them on every listing. In our latest nightly scan, 86.9% of remote-claiming jobs carried at least one.

I do not live in the US or EU. Is this for me?

Especially for you. The letter is matched against your country and timezone, so you only see jobs someone in your situation can get, including the 311 currently open worldwide.

Where do the jobs come from?

From 662 hiring systems and feeds, pulled directly from the source companies. Everything is rescanned nightly. Jobs that disappear from the source stop being served the same night, so no ghost jobs.

Why not just use RemoteOK, Remotive or LinkedIn alerts?

Use them too if you like. We read many of the same boards you do. The difference is what happens after a listing appears: a board shows the location the company typed into a form, while we open the listing and read the body, the country in paragraph seven, the timezone overlap in the fine print, the language requirement halfway down. In our latest nightly scan that changed the answer for 86.9% of the 13,171 remote-claiming jobs we checked. And a board keeps showing a job after it is gone; we re-check every listing every night and drop the dead ones the same night. Keep your alerts. Covesight is the filter that sits on top of them.

Do employers pay to be listed?

No. Companies do not pay us to be listed, to rank higher, or to look fresher than they are. Boards that charge employers per posting have a reason to keep a dead listing up a little longer. We have none: the only people who pay us are job seekers, so a listing that fails the nightly rescan is dropped the same night, whoever posted it.

What happens on a day with no good matches?

You get a short honest email saying so. We do not pad the letter to look busy, and we never invent urgency to make you click. If your matches stay empty for days, the usual reason is that your target role is rare in remote tech hiring, or that your resume gives the matcher too little to work with. If you think it is something else, write to [email protected] and a human looks into it.

Plans and billing

How does the 3-day Lite trial work?

You start it with a payment method on file. For 3 days you get the full Lite letter, 3 matches every morning. On day 4 it becomes $3.99/month unless you cancelled before then. Cancelling during the trial does not cut it short, you keep all 3 days.

Why is Premium billed every 3 months instead of monthly?

Because a job search is not a monthly habit, it is a project with an end. $39.99 buys the full scan for a quarter, which is roughly how long a serious search runs. It is not a cheaper way to buy Plus, it costs more per month than Plus does. It is a different product: the whole ranked list instead of a daily selection.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, one click in your account or the billing portal. No phone call, no "wait, here's 40% off" screen. You keep the plan until the period you already paid for ends, then it quietly stops. If Covesight helped you get hired, that is the plan working. Come back whenever you need it again.

Which plans include CSV and PDF export?

Premium only. Lite and Plus do not export, and we would rather say that on the card than let you find out after paying.

What does "rotating" actually mean? Am I seeing the leftovers?

No, you are seeing your pool in order. Every day, Lite and Plus take the next jobs from your ranked pool, newest first, and never show you a job you have already been sent. Three guardrails keep that honest: only jobs seen in the last 14 days are eligible, the newest go first, and anything that failed the nightly rescan is dropped before the letter is built. What rotation does not do is pretend the letter is the whole pool. Every letter states the real number, every day.

How do refunds and plan changes work?

Everything lives in the billing portal: change plan, update your card, cancel, download invoices. The portal link is on your account page and at the bottom of every letter. If something went wrong on our side, write to [email protected] and a person answers. We do not run a retention gauntlet and we do not make you argue with a form.

Does paying change which jobs I see, or how the Cove Score is calculated?

No. Every job passes the same nightly check whether you pay us or not, and no listing outranks another because someone paid for it. Paying changes how much of your own pool reaches your inbox and how often, not what is true about any job in it.

Paying already? The billing portal is the direct door: plan changes, card updates, cancellations, invoices.

Still unanswered? How Covesight works explains the scan itself, and [email protected] reaches a person.
