Working remotely from Latin America
Latin America shares much of its working day with the US and Canada: Mexico City is on UTC-6, Bogotá and Lima on UTC-5, São Paulo and Buenos Aires on UTC-3. But remote listings rarely say "Latin America" in a way a job board can filter, and a listing that sounds open can turn out to be for US residents only. This page does the filtering.
A job is listed here in one of three cases. It is limited to a Latin American country by name (Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru or Uruguay). Or it is limited to the Americas, its location names Latin America, LATAM, South or Central America, or a Latin American country, and it does not also require the US or Canada. Or it is open worldwide. A plain "Americas" or "North America" label is not enough, because Covesight records both the same way.
In the latest nightly check, 797 of 13,409 remote jobs (5.9%) pass that rule: 462 limited to a Latin American country, 44 limited to Latin America as a region, and 291 open worldwide. The countries named most often are Mexico (171), Brazil (133), Argentina (94) and Colombia (85). A job limited to one country is open only to people who live there. The job page shows which country.
Among the jobs limited to Latin America or a country in it, the biggest role groups are Engineering (221), Sales (50) and Operations (42). 30 of 506 (5.9%) ask for a language other than English, most often Spanish (25) and Portuguese (5). 7 of 506 (1.4%) carry a time-zone requirement, and 16 of 506 (3.2%) state a salary, most often in USD (10).

Because the Americas label also covers listings that say "North America", which can mean only the US and Canada. This page keeps only jobs that name Latin America or a Latin American country, plus jobs open worldwide.
Which countries count as Latin America here?
Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru and Uruguay. These are the Latin American countries Covesight can recognise in a listing. A job limited to the Americas also counts when its location names Latin America, LATAM, South or Central America, or one of those countries.
Do I need Spanish or Portuguese?
It depends on the job. Of the jobs limited to Latin America or a country in it, 30 of 506 (5.9%) ask for a language other than English, most often Spanish (25) and Portuguese (5).
