ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on Phantom’s Growth & Engagement team, you will build and refine core product experiences that help users discover value quickly, complete key onboarding steps, and return more often.

You’ll work closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Data teams to ship polished, experiment-driven user experiences across mobile and web platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

ONBOARDING & ACTIVATION EXPERIENCES:

Build and iterate on high-impact onboarding flows and first-session experiences with a focus on clarity, speed, usability, and reducing user drop-off.

HOME & DISCOVERY EXPERIENCES:

Develop new Home modules, ranking systems, and UI patterns that help users understand what’s happening in crypto and discover relevant actions, trends, and opportunities.

EXPERIMENTATION & ITERATION:

Design features to be experiment-ready from day one, including feature flags, analytics instrumentation, staged rollouts, and measurement frameworks.

CRAFT, PERFORMANCE & RELIABILITY:

Maintain a high bar for frontend quality, performance, and polish across mobile and web surfaces. Debug production issues, improve reliability, and prevent regressions through strong testing and rollout discipline.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION:

Partner closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Data teams to define product specs, event schemas, and success metrics while ensuring fast and high-quality execution.

RAISE THE BAR:

Contribute to a strong engineering culture through thoughtful code reviews, technical mentorship, and pragmatic decision-making around architecture and product tradeoffs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

• 6+ years of full-time software engineering experience building production user-facing applications

• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript

• React Native experience strongly preferred

• Experience building and shipping polished consumer-facing product experiences

• Strong product and engineering judgment with the ability to balance speed, quality, and measurement in a fast-moving environment

• Experience shipping end-to-end features with experimentation and analytics tooling (feature flags, A/B testing, rollouts, instrumentation)

• Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Interest in crypto, fintech, consumer products, or developer platforms preferred

The target base salary for this role will range between $200,000 to $250,000 with the addition of equity and benefits. This is determined by a few factors including your skillset, prior relevant experience, quality of interviews and market factors (such as location) at the point in time of offer.
