You’ll handle day-to-day product counselling by providing practical, solution-oriented legal advice throughout the product-development lifecycle, helping teams navigate complex issues while moving quickly and thoughtfully. This role will partner closely with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Privacy, and GTM functions to support innovation, manage risk, and enable the next generation of data and analytics solutions.</span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">This role will require strong legal judgment, sound business instincts, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving technical environment. You will need to translate complex legal issues into practical guidance that helps stakeholders make informed decisions. Success in this role will depend on a growth mindset, building trusted relationships, understanding our products and technology, and balancing thoughtful risk management with execution speed. Candidates should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, spotting issues early, and helping teams move forward with clear, actionable advice.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This is a full-time, remote position.</span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Technologies You’ll Use: </strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Ironclad, Salesforce, Jira, Notion, Slack, among others.</span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Advise Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders on legal issues throughout the product development lifecycle.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Review and assess new products, features, and initiatives, providing timely, business-oriented legal guidance that balances risk management with innovation and execution speed.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Counsel teams on intellectual property, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory considerations affecting company products.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Develop scalable legal guidance, policies, playbooks, and training materials that empower teams to make informed decisions.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Partner with commercial, privacy, security, compliance, and corporate legal colleagues to address cross-functional legal issues and drive alignment.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Monitor emerging legal, regulatory, and industry developments and translate them into actionable guidance.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Perform other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Skills We’re Looking For:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">4-7 years of relevant legal experience counseling SaaS companies. </span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Deliver high-quality legal analysis, attention to detail, and execution across a broad range of product counseling matters. </span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to clearly articulate and defend risk analysis and communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to technical, business, legal, and executive audiences.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while balancing competing priorities and business objectives to drive results.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Creative mindset and an ability to find solutions where others see barriers.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Experience advising software, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, developer tools companies regarding open-source software licensing, compliance, and governance a bonus.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">Experience using AI tools (such as Claude or similar) to enhance legal workflow efficiency.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt;">#LI-HYBRID #LI-SR1</span></p> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>The compensation range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire compensation for the target position and level, and may include sales incentives or target bonuses depending on the role.
