What FlexJobs costs, what you see before you pay, what the public record shows, and how many remote jobs are open to someone outside the US.

**Evidence review.** We did not pay for FlexJobs or test it with an account. This review uses FlexJobs' own pages, public records and dated user reviews, all read on 26 October 2026, and gives no star rating or verdict. Covesight, the site you are reading, is a remote job site too.

FlexJobs is a real company, founded in 2007, that says it hand-screens every remote and flexible job it lists. Whether it is worth paying for depends on what you get that the free boards and the companies' own careers pages do not give you, and on where you live. It costs $2.95 for the first 14 days, then $23.95 every 4 weeks unless you choose a longer plan.

## What FlexJobs costs in 2026

FlexJobs has no free plan for job seekers. Its [pricing page](https://www.flexjobs.com/pricing) listed three options on 26 October 2026:

| Plan | You pay | Then |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 14-day access | $2.95 | $23.95 every 4 weeks |
| 3 months | $29.85 up front ($9.95 a month) | Renews every 3 months |
| 12 months | $71.40 up front ($5.95 a month) | Renews every year |

The cheap start is the expensive way to stay. If you keep the 14-day plan running, the 4-week renewals add up to $311.35 over a year, against $71.40 for the annual plan. Every plan renews by itself.

FlexJobs offers a money-back guarantee. The pricing page says you get a refund if you are unhappy during the first 14 days, and the questions further down the same page say to cancel and ask for the refund by phone, email or chat within 14 days of creating the account or of a renewal. Its [FAQ](https://www.flexjobs.com/faq) says you can cancel online under Account Details and the Subscription tab. If you joined through the FlexJobs app, cancel through Google Play or the App Store.

## What you can see before you pay

Without a membership you can browse job titles, how old each posting is, the type of work, the pay where it is given, the location and the start of the description. The FAQ says [viewing employers, full job details or applying requires a paid subscription](https://www.flexjobs.com/faq). So before you pay, you cannot see which company is hiring, and you cannot check the same job on the company's own site.

## What FlexJobs says it checks

FlexJobs says it spends [200 or more hours a day hand-screening jobs, using AI and a team of sourcing experts](https://www.flexjobs.com/), and its pricing page says the database has [no ads, scams, commission-only or multi-level marketing jobs](https://www.flexjobs.com/pricing). It says it [does not collect fees from employers](https://www.flexjobs.com/), so job seekers pay for the service. Its job and company counts change daily and are FlexJobs' own figures, which we could not check.

## Is FlexJobs legit? What the public record shows

- **Founded in 2007** by Sara Sutton, per its [about page](https://www.flexjobs.com/about). The about page also lists Remote.co as a partner site.
- **Trustpilot:** a [4.1 TrustScore from about 8,200 reviews](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.flexjobs.com) on 26 October 2026. The profile is claimed, FlexJobs pays for a Trustpilot subscription, and it invites its customers to leave reviews.
- **Better Business Bureau:** FlexJobs' pricing page cites a BBB A+ rating. The BBB profile we found is for [Bold LLC](https://www.bbb.org/us/pr/guaynabo/profile/resume-services/bold-llc-0633-90405674), which lists FlexJobs among its names, and it notes reports of scammers pretending to be FlexJobs in fake job offers.

That last point matters more than the ratings. A message that offers you a job "through FlexJobs" and asks for money or bank details is a scam, whatever logo it carries. The FTC warns that [scammers advertise fake jobs on legitimate job sites](https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/job-scams). Our guide on [how to check a remote job is real](https://covesight.com/blog/check-remote-job-is-real/) lists the checks.

## FlexJobs outside the US: the UK, Canada and Australia

We found nothing on FlexJobs' pages that limits members to the US. Its categories include [work from anywhere in the US and anywhere in the world](https://www.flexjobs.com/), and its FAQ says [location requirements on remote jobs vary from employer to employer](https://www.flexjobs.com/faq). Its page for the UK is titled [Remote England Jobs](https://www.flexjobs.com/remote-jobs/united-kingdom), and when we read it, its first listings were jobs in New England, in the US, such as Boston, MA. Read each listing's location before you count it.

That is the real limit for anyone outside the US, on any site. In Covesight's daily check of 40,000+ live remote listings (the latest on 31 October 2026), this is how many someone could apply to from each country:

| You live in | Remote listings open to you | Share |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [the US](https://covesight.com/remote-jobs/from-usa/) | 20,000+ | under 60% |
| [the UK](https://covesight.com/remote-jobs/from-united-kingdom/) | 3,000+ | under 10% |
| [Canada](https://covesight.com/remote-jobs/from-canada/) | 3,000+ | under 10% |
| [Australia](https://covesight.com/remote-jobs/from-australia/) | 900+ | under 3% |

The counts include jobs that name the country, jobs limited to a region that includes it, and jobs open worldwide. Someone in the UK, Canada or Australia can take fewer than half as many remote jobs as someone in the US. A paid board cannot change who an employer is allowed to hire, so the question for you is how quickly a site shows the jobs open to your country.

## FlexJobs compared with the free options

Several remote job boards cost nothing to search. We Work Remotely has a free account and puts a region tag on every listing, and its FAQ tells job seekers outside the US to [look for "Anywhere in the World" or their own region](https://weworkremotely.com/frequently-asked-questions#job_seekers). Its paid plan adds unlimited applications. Our [comparison of 12 remote job sites](https://covesight.com/blog/best-remote-job-sites/) shows what each one costs and how it labels where you can work from.

FlexJobs' case is the screening and the time it saves. Its weak spot for a reader outside the US is that you pay before you can see who is hiring, while most of what it lists may be closed to you.

## An alternative built around where you live: Covesight

Covesight is the site you are reading, and we built it. Every day it reads remote listings from companies' own hiring systems and a few public job board feeds, and checks each one for where the company can hire, working hours and language. Every listing carries a label: limited to a place, hours or language, no lock found, or confirmed open worldwide. Each country has a page of the jobs open to it, such as [remote jobs open to someone in the UK](https://covesight.com/remote-jobs/from-united-kingdom/). Companies do not post or pay to be listed. Like FlexJobs, Covesight charges job seekers. It does not hand-screen listings the way FlexJobs says it does. It checks the fine print of every listing, every day, and the [methodology page](https://covesight.com/methodology/) explains how. FlexJobs also [lists hybrid, part-time and flexible jobs](https://www.flexjobs.com/pricing), while Covesight lists only jobs that say they are remote, so if you would take a hybrid job near home, FlexJobs or a general board covers more.

## Before you pay for FlexJobs

1. Browse its free listing pages for your field and read the locations.
2. Count how many say anywhere in the world or name your country.
3. If you sign up, put the renewal date in your calendar and decide before it comes.
4. Compare a few listings with the free boards before your 14 days end.

Prices and terms change. FlexJobs' own pages, linked above, carry its current terms. We re-check this review every quarter.
